the standard is the spell 🪄

Hi friends, happy October!!! This month is so very potent with cosmic energy the way there are multiple planets in retrograde and some intense transits in that, with the juiciest one being venus retrograding in scorpio. Meaning the planet of love, of embodiment, of sensuality and creativity and interpersonal connection…. is in the underworld. And I could talk about this all day because personally I love the underworld it’s sexy as hell and I don’t even have any strong placements in scorpio but it rules my 7th house, which is the house of partnerships and commitment. Basically the first house where we move from internal to external relationships and I also have my pluto in that house sooooooo, the transformation via connection is strong for me. But back to venus diving in here, it brings a focus or intensity to intimacy and hidden desires. It asks us to review how we relate to our creativity, pleasure and connection. We’re plunging into the depths of our feelings and confronting the fears under the surface because scorpio is the sign connected to mystery, transformation and emotional depth. And to the majority, that sounds like something you’d wanna run the other way from but to me personally……… HOT AS HELL 🫦 

Not that I intended to write an entire post about this in particular but it is indeed bringing some curiosity to the surface for me around the current climate of the collective these days. If you’re someone who perhaps hasn’t yet explored the depths of your being and all its vastness, and oh babe are we VAST, this is the kind of transit that will bring some friction into dynamics with others or self or all of the above hahahah because it asks you to pay attention to the ways in which you unconsciously relate to the world around you. To dive into your shadows and meet a few lingering ghosts, get intimate with your fears and explore the ways in which you’ve been restricting yourself from fully expressing. Because trust me on this one, having gone headfirst into the deep end for a year or so and meeting every ounce of myself that I had tried to keep separate up until then, I have come out on the other side liberated and free and sexier than ever. And of course I still need to remind myself to illuminate the spaces where my shadows dwell but after the softest of reminders it’s effortless for me to be able to express from my raw power. Hence why I can’t stop posting about how divine and sensual and magical and sexy the female body is. My stories lately have been dripping in sensuality and I love it so much because what is sexier than the vessel that life is created from. Women are literal portals for life and let’s be so for real that is the biggest turn on there could be???? And I absolutely don’t mean in a way that has us sexualizing it in one single lane of physicality but rather in all the ways that we are the creators of life itself and what could possibly be more powerful and worthy of the highest level of respect..

This is kind of the direction I intended to go in here and I could keep diverting in many ways, but something came through to me from the council recently after a few weeks ago being told that it feels like we’ve been pushing a rock up a hill for some time now, and we’re definitely peaking. As a collective we’ve been experiencing a whole lot of resistance and exertion and it’s not about to happen overnight but we’re at the point where we're getting a little more breathing room, to be able to create from a place of ease and flow. A little more effortlessness. I know a heck of a lot of people don’t feel that way or can’t see it but it’s there, and I’m excited because the point where you get to create intentionally and with more flow than force, is the absolute best. And I recently had an inquiry that felt really interesting because with the current climate being PIPING hot with feminine rage, and what seems like a level zero of tolerance for the way the feminine has been repressed up until now, it truly feels like a boiling point. Like it had been simmering for a long time and it’s starting to boil over and honestly, it’s sexy. It’s about damn time there’s a balance between the respect of our shared energies, because what I find sooooo fascinating is that as humans, we all contain both the masculine and feminine within our being and so sure, we could put the blame on one gender, and don’t get me wrong I’m all for giving credit where it’s due as there has definitely been a lack of respect towards the feminine for far too long, however now that we’re coming back home to the ways in which both energies are absolutely essential and necessary in our internal world but the external as well… I think it’s about harnessing both simultaneously. Which means women can create more space for the masculine by holding ourselves to a standard of what we accept and tolerate, and men can loosen the grip and fucking trust us in it. Letting go of the illusory sense of control. What I’ve seen a lot of is people saying “women need to teach men how to show up” and I get it, it’s in our instincts to lead….but what leadership looks like to ME, after having tried that for a long time with a lot of people in my life, is embodying our sovereignty and maintaining a standard so high that they have no choice but to figure out how to evolve and grow to meet it, or they simply fall away. Omg that reminds me the other day I went wow, have we noticed how if you look at birds, when they mate the female bird just carries on about her day and the males will come and perform for them in hopes of mating, and if she’s not impressed she just leaves knowing that some other male will have it figured out… what she absolutely doesn’t do is go and show him how to perform and do it right!!!! Hahahahah it’s actually so funny to me like it’s the simplest thing and sure they’re birds and we’re humans but I don’t knowwwwwwww they’re onto it. 

So from where I’m standing it’s a lot more of holding the standard as high as I can because I know how to meet it for myself and until someone else is to meet it as effortlessly as breathing I'm not about to go explaining it to you???? And sure I mean in partnership but honestly most relationships in my life have taken that tone, and that doesn’t mean I don't communicate what I want to others, but I’m not trying to continuously remind anyone. Because I’m also ruled by venus as a taurus rising, and that level of connection is deeeeeeeply important and of high value to me, so if you’re not able to meet me in the underworld of depth and intimacy and reflection, I’m not all that interested. I’ve done an abundance of surface level exploration thus far and I prefer conscious connection. 

But speaking of the feminine rage and lack of tolerance, I also wondered if mama earth has been warning us of this via the earth's temperature getting spicier and spicier and now we’re paying attention???? She knows… she sets the tone and we’re responding and I’m not saying global warming isn’t real and human induced, I'm a science gal, but I mean let’s just take a moment to do all that math you know what I mean…… we’re all vibrating at a certain frequency here and if it doesn’t align with the frequency of the planet well, that’s elementary science I’m sure you get it. 

This feels intense and juicy and I know so many people in my life have shared with me how much they’re feeling this shift right now and if I'm being so honest, which I always am, I'm really excited about it. I know there’s still major chaos across the globe and a lot of it is devastating and I’m sooooo not numb to that, but the optimist in me says that humans will suffer enough until they don’t want to suffer anymore so they’ll create change. So what the fk are we creating my loves because that’s the fun part. The state of the world being in stress and chaos has us going inward, as we recognize we can’t change what’s happening but we can come back home to our own sense of agency and autonomy so that the way we show up to the external is that of intention and THAAAAAT is the work I’m so passionate about. Remembering our power. Coming back to our truth and shifting the way we relate to ourselves so that inevitably the way we relate to the world shifts. And those that are curious enough to know if there’s another way will absolutely be the ones doing the work to create it. Because we don’t create a new world by controlling everyone around us, we create it by how we experience ourselves, what we participate in and what we’re willing to create space for. Major sex appeal if you ask me.
